A question about : Lloyds TSB on Dmp

Hello

Have recently started my DMP journey with CCCS, and all was going ok (first payment being made 10th August).

However...

CCCS contacted me to inform me that Lloyds are not accepting as they dont recognise my CC account number. Spoke to CCCS and confirmed it is correct, spoke to Lloyds who say it is correct, but both stating there isnt much they can do now. CCCS have told me they will arrange to pay it anyway and see what happens.

Lloyds also said that they probably rejected it because its a third party accessing my account?!!?! Despite my letter telling to TSB telling them that CCCS would be dealing with my finances.

Is this some weird ploy by TSB? Has anyone else experienced this?

Best answers:

  • If you continue to have this issue, you could instead pay Lloyds yourself and just not have it through your CCCS arrangement.
  • hi had the same problem with lloyds when i started my dmp with cccs in 2009.they are the worst of all my creditors it took months to stop the interest, with the balance increasing ,also kept ringing and trying to reassess your situation ,also 6 month agreements then ringing again, just refer them to cccs,as i said they are worst but they do settle down eventually, hope this helps
  • Hi Luis, I am a year into DMP and Lloyds were a nightmare from the start, all my other creditors accepted no probs and no phone calls or threatening letters. Lloyds accepted or so they said then continued to harrass me with up to 30 phone calls a day (always refused to talk to them and referred them to CCCS) and daily letters which I forwarded. This is standard for them I assume but they have finally got the message I think, no communication for 3 months apart from statements but I will wait and see in month or so when they review again as they do every 6 month.
Just be patient and dont be frightened or intimidated they cant have what you've not got and they will accept eventually.
