A question about : Lloyds said I had no ppi on loan, but ppi company say i did!

So,
Really need some help guys!
In 2008 I took out a 3000 loan in employed work as a personal loan. I was made redundant 7 months later then became self employed. I struggled meeting any payments but always paid something monthly they were explained my situation. I spent months of bad dreams and worry. Annually earning under tax threshold. Near to mental breakdown with nightmares. Had a child. Then sold house and had to clear debt of which 7000 it had got to, I got a ccj. :-(. I asked in 2014 from Lloyds if I had ppi and they responded saying no. So I thought hmm so no win no fee company and they respond saying they did missell! Fml. Help x

Best answers:

  • Who are these crooks who supposedly have this information?
  • First of all, don't go through a 'no win, no fee' company, as they take a substantial cut of your claim for doing something you could have done more easily yourself. My best advice would be to have no more dealings with these agencies.
Your next step should absolutely be taking your claim to the financial ombudsman service (FOS). Even if Lloyds have told you that you have no claim, you very well could do, and the FOS is the next step as they're the ones who will take your claim further and pass a final judgement. And best of all it's a free citizens service. Go to their website for further advice on how to claim PPI.
Also, please note that you can only go to the FOS 6 months after you've made a claim with your bank. If 6 months has passed, you'll need to make another claim.
Don't give up! And DON'T go through a PPI agency as it'll cost you needless money.
  • I'm guessing it's their stock answer for all enquires
  • The way I read this, OP was told there was no PPI when asking Lloyds directly but has now had a complaint upheld using a CMC - so will receive less redress after the CMC's cut.
