A question about : LIDL To Stop Selling Coffee Pads

For anyone that loves Lidl's coffee pads for the Senso coffee maker..
They are stopping selling them in their UK stores. They had ran out in our local store and upon enquiring was told it was stopping selling them. I have queried this and asked them to reconsider. Perhaps if a few others do this then we may get them to change their minds. I love the coffee pads so it will be a sad loss

  • Hope they don't stop the Nespresso pods.
  • Here is an email I just received.

  • Well you got a quick and proper reply that's good.
  • In the mean time can anybody recommend a replacement which works out about the same price and is as good tase wise?
  • I don't know how much the Lidl ones are but I noticed that M&S have started doing nespresso compatible pods recently. I think they're on offer for Ј3 a box at the moment.
  • We buy ours from https://www.thecoffeepod.co.uk/
Plenty of different blends to try from about Ј9.99 for 50 pods upwards.
  • LIDL worked out at about 9p a coffee pod
  • Hi, I have had the same problem discovering that I could no longer get the coffee pods from Lidl, I brought an eco pod from Amazon Ј4.99 for a pk of 4. You can choose any ground coffee you like, fill up the eco pod to the brim, snap the lid shut, use the senseo duck, you should have this as an attachment with you coffee maker, its the deeper one used for two cups, and away you go!! hope this helps!!! )

  • Picked up the Lidl Christmas booklet today, page 29 has an advert for their compatible coffee pods, so doesn't seem likely they would do that if they were stopping them....
  • ok so I went to Lidl today to get some coffee pads only to find they have been replaced with lots of coffee pods, now I get that these are popular but to completely scrap the pads is so disappointing. Looks like I will be paying Ј3.99 for the Senseo pads now :-(
  • I'm also disappointed to see them disappear off the shelves. I emailed them and got the same reply. It may be a change of supplier, but would be nice if they could confirm when they're expecting them back in stock.
  • I get genuine Senseo pods from Amazon.de , just bought some more, Ј20.95 delivered for 10 packs so Ј2.09 a pack inc delivery , the more you buy the cheaper it works out as you will be saving on the postage
