A question about : Lidl Oatilicious Porridge Oats
Is it normal these are just loose in the cardboard box ? No plastic inner bag ? Seems a bit odd to me.
Best answers:
- My last packet of porridge (can't remember the brand, but it wasn't Lidl) wasn't double-packed - just oats loose in a card box. Didn't bother me at all. Do you have issues with weevils or damp that might contaminate dry goods? In which case it'd be better to decant the oats into a some kind of canister.
- I was more concerned about the conditions it was kept in before I bought it,I've seen pallets left out in the rain at two of my local Lidl's.
- Tesco's finest porridge oats are also just in the box, no plastic bag
- Thank you guys.
- Quaker Oats come in a cardboard box! I often buy bags from Tesco that have been ripped open and stuck together with tape. Haven't died yet, mostly they are cooked into flapjack or porridge so the heat kills anything bad!
