A question about : Leeds Building Society

Does anybody know what has happened to Leeds BS Diamond Saver? Customer Service has unhelpfully said that I must talk to an adviser before they reveal the new name/interest rate of my existing account!

  • I had one of those accounts paid about 1.75% - as others mentioned had written notification that they were withdrawing the account, and all funds would be transferred to another instant access account paying 1.25%.
    I was reminded of that, when I went into the Branch, offered a one-year fixed interest account - which I put some of the money into.
    The original Diamond rate was above everything else - something was bound to give, I think this time last year people were expecting interest rates to go up - they didn't.
    Ah well good while it lasted.
