A question about : LBCCC from Parking Eye

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me. I received a 'letter before county court claim' about 2 weeks ago from a company called Parking Eye and is the first notification I've had. They are claiming that I committed a parking infraction in October 2014. There were no prior letters (we have checked everywhere) therefore, I don't know what the offence/infraction was.

I do still have my receipt from shopping in Morrisons on the day, though it only for about Ј15. I suspect that I might have overstayed (it was during the school half term and I was dragging 2 four year olds with me!).

I have been seeking advice about what to do since- received a mixture of advice from family and friends. some say ignore, others say not, and in the last few days, started to look online. I have completed an appeal on their website indicating that this is the first letter that I have received from them and asked for a POPLA code, but I am not sure if they will respond to this.

Does anyone have any advice? All advice much appreciated.

Best answers:

  • You're on the right direction.
Pop over to pepipoo.com and post in the parking section. There is a ton of info. there.
You don't need to pay this but you have to follow the directions precisely. It is highly likely that you over-stayed.
    Good luck
  • You could go over to pepipoo, but why not use the most excellent Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page right here. It tells you exactly what to do in your situation.
The most important piece of advice is, do not ignore. Whoever is telling you that is an idiot. Parking lie take thousands of people to court every year so you need to get reading but don't hang about with your appeal. Don't use mitigation either, it won't work.
Don't reveal who was driving, and appeal using the template in the NEWBIES thread. In parallel, complain long and loud to Morrisons store manager and demand they cancel the ticket.
Write to the CEO of Morrisons as well and tell him/her you are about to become an ex customer if it isn't cancelled pronto.
  • Ib10, please edit your other thread otherwise advice will be split and become confused. Go advanced edit and delete your text, replacing it with something like, duplicate post, please ignore, then do the same with the title.
