A question about : labour party facebook vent and warning

Ok, so i did one of those daft quiz type things on facebook...... how many people in the country have the same name as you? It required an email and used the electoral roll so i put in my throwaway spam email which i use for such things.

I have just checked this email to find a genuine email from harriet harman thanking me for taking part in this 'fun' quiz and saying i had been added to the labour party email list and that they hoped i recognised labour as the way forward and would vote for them!

Bl**dy cheek! Sneaky, underhand and fake.........says it all really!

  • You didn't read this under the submit button?

  • No i didnt, because you have to scroll down to see it in tiny writing in small print and its neither something you expect, or are looking for.

  • So your entire last line should have read.................................
    Nothing really then?
It wasn't sneaky, it wasn't underhand and it wasn't fake.
Your looking at the wrong party if you want that to be obvious to you.
  • Labour have to resort to tricks like this as they are a bit of a shambles at the moment.
Its amazing after five years of the coalition, where living standards have dropped for most people that the main opposition party are not miles ahead in the polls! It just shows how incredibly poor the two Ed's are at Labour!
I suspect we will end up with a Labour/SNP coalition government in May and I can't see that going well!
Still should be a good few months!
  • No worries, she'll be round in her Pink Barbie bus shortly to give you some Political Correction!
  • It's not in the least sneaky. I saw this on facebook and the bit that tomtontom posted above is clearly visible, not in small print and you don't have to click on anything before it appears. It's always there. It couldn't be clearer if it slapped you round the face.
  • It's certainly clearer than saying you'll deal with tax evaders whilst making them a lord for services to your own political party and then not dealing with tax evaders as you've realised they're all your mates from school anyway.
  • I did this the other day too. I didn't see the bit about signing you up to a mailing list for the Labour Party, but then again I didn't look.
I did however know that they would be using my details for something or other, so I included a false post code and a false e-mail address.
Things like are usually just a quick way to garner a lot of information on people!
  • People have different political views so obviously believe the propoganda that their party says.
as you have just proven Jreacher1.
  • Or the letter I read today, blaming long waits for gp appointments, and long delay at a&e on the coalition, when it was labour who signed the gp contracts!
  • Vote UKIP.
Time to restore some common values and send a message that our culture is something to be proud of.
  • Now let me see. Oh yeah, another set of politicos promising to move the earth for all of us.
Problem is, they haven't got the keys for the bulldozer!
