Welcome to the Ј2 Savers Club 2015.

I am taking over the baton from Purpleofmum2 who has done a superb job in running the thread this year. Thank you.

The aim is to collect every Ј2 coin you can lay your hands on! It is entirely up to you whether you want to:
A) Save for a particular length of time e.g. monthly or till December 2014,
B) Save for a particular reason e.g. to pay the car insurance, to pay for a family holiday or to buy birthday presents throughout the year,
C) Save until you have a specific amount e.g. Ј20 or Ј100 or a pot full!
D) Save for any other reason you can think of...
You are also welcome to do what you wish with the money. Either bank it as you please or at the end of the year or spend it as required.

Above all else remember this is a fun thread, but the aim of this website is to SAVE, so any encouragement, comments or help you can give to others are always very welcome.

Anyone who wishes to join (or be removed though I hope that isn’t the case!) is always very welcome, please just ask and I will add you as soon as I can and allocate you a number. Also if anyone wants to add anything to the list such as a target or a date to aim for etc. then let me know and I will add it. However there is no pressure to do this as many people just wish to be able to save as and when they can.

• I'm going to aim to fill my Boofle pot with a Ј1000.00 worth of Ј2.00 coins.
• Please add me in I will be saving for summer holiday spends then resave for christmas.
• Yay! 2015! I'm in again, please, with the same target.
  I didn't post much last year as we had a truly awful one so the pot was constantly dipped into.
  Here's to 2015 being much, much better. Also, I got Ј8 today, so it's off to a good start.
• I'm staying in! No. 52 reporting for duty.
  At the moment my current stash has been packaged into tree presents but if any of the intended recipients don't visit over Xmas they will go back in the collection for next year.
  For the time being though, I have one left - Ј2 and aiming for Ј100 by Xmas 2015.
• Number 21 here! At ease everyone, at ease.
  I save my Ј2 coins for my road tax, which is due at the end of October. Anything in addition is just a Brucie bonus.
• I would like to join as well. I'm saving for trip to New York. I have one of those ceramic money pots which I want to fill. I recon should be about Ј500 which would cover my flights. I hope it will take me till August as it's my birthday and I would like to go then.

  No target just want some extra incentive to save instead of spend!
• I collected these this year in a terramundi pot (some rogue one pound coins went in when I had a drought of Ј2 coins. My pot had Ј310.
  My aim this year is at least 350 towards a dream Disney holiday in Florida in 2016 or 2017.

• Thanks for running this thread for 2015, Gem-gem! I'm saving for holiday spending in July. Ј16 so far.
• I am in again for 2015. saving Ј2 for our holiday in August. the Ј2 will be our spending money for 10 days
• I was doing this myself and hadn't realised till a few weeks ago there was a thread for it - doh! - saved Ј152 since the middle of the year.

• Number 3 returning after being absent for a while, but looking forward to the new year. Still saving Ј2 coins - DH and I haven't spent one since 2011, but that pig still has lots of room in him. So I'm not planning to put a target or count what's in the pig but I enjoy watching this thread each year and hope you don't mind me joining you.

  I am always interested on hearing if anyone picks up one of those lovely shiny coins with picture on the front. I nearly have one of each variety, so please let me know if you pick up one, for example the London Underground.
