A question about : Ideas for 2 night stay in North West
Hello,
On here for a bit of advice, we are planning a two nights stay away in the next couple of weeks. We have a 16 month old, so looking to go somewhere that has some attractions for him. Doesn't have to be somewhere full of attractions but would like at least one we could visit. I.e sea life, zoo, beach, good swimming pool, etc
Looking no further than chester, would Leeds, lake district, we're only an hour away from blackpool so not interested in there.
Thank you to anyone who gives me ideas
Best answers:
- We just got back from Alton towers, we done 4days at the splash landings hotel, my 2 and half year old loved cbeebies land and the pool at splash landings, they have some superb evening entertainment for under 5's which my very shy toddler really enjoyed.
- Have you considered Leicestershire can stay in market Bosworth area and near to twycross zoo and Drayton manor for Thomas land. Also Bosworth water n battle grounds are lovely.
- Matlock has Gullivers World; it also has beautiful scenery really close by and plenty of bits and bobs to do. Have a look round there?
- Chester - for Chester Zoo.
Lakes - obvious attractions plus North Lakes Animal Park.
Whalley area - could go witch-hunting around Pendle Hill.
Skipton - has canal you could take a boat trip on/walk along. - The Lake District. South lakes safari zoo is fab. Aquarium, steam train and boat trips on lake windermere. Also Beatrix potter attractions.
- Leicester / alton towers -OP asked for north west
lake district - things for every budget ,including free, and every age.
windermere/ambleside are easily accessible and have loads to offer.
