I hate my freezer

A question about : I hate my freezer

I've got a frost free freezer at the moment and I find instead of preserving food, it does horrible things to it. It sucks all the moisture out of everything and makes things taste odd. I'm constantly having to refill the ice cube trays because the cubes just disappear! It's way beyond old-school freezer burn. Is this a problem with all frost free freezers or is it just mine. I want to replace it but everything seems to be frost free these days and I don't want to spend loads of money on something that's just as bad.

• Never had this problem with the two frost free freezers I have. There should work just like a normal freezer
• I've got a frost free freezer and a normal freezer and there is no difference on how they store food. Your ice cubes should not be disappearing. Your freezer if faulty.
• I'm on my second frost free freezer, I haven't experienced the problems you've described
• I'm on my 3rd frost free freezer and have never had this problem.
• that's how freezes and fridges work, they pull the moisture out.
  they also affect the taste if left uncovered, sounds like you are not using freeze boxes/bags, hence both the problems you talk of.
