A question about : HSBC payout times...

Lets here your tales of experience....

How long did it take for HSBC to pay your settlement after they recieved your acceptance letters?

Will be interesting to see the variation!

Best answers:

  • 5 days, still no money Come on HSBC, I have bills to pay and Xmas pressies to get!
  • They should get my acceptance on Monday, I will keep you in the loop
  • They should have got my acceptance on Thursday, so I'll be keeping a close eye on my account and post when I've received the money.
  • I recived my letter on tuesday posted back the same day, im going to ring them tomorrow to make sure they have recived it, i dont want to be sat round waiting for the money only for them to say weeks down the line they havent recieved it.I rang them last monday to enquire how long befor we got the letters (got the following day) ,so i also asked how long befor payment was made and they said upto 10 days.will post tomorrow after i have spoken to them.
  • Upto ten days is crap. I need to pay some stuff off ASAP!
  • How can a direct bank transfer take 10 days!
  • I know, im getting fed up now, its a joke
  • Hi russabbott, claire95
Atleast you know that you will get something within 2 weeks. I dont know anything about mine.
Did you refer your cases to FOS as well? If yes when?
  • funny thing is then what was the 31st August deadline is for. Niether FOS nor HSBC replied to me
  • Hi all
I spoke to them twice on the 8th September - the first lady told me 10 days and that I should expect the money by the 21st. The second guy told me within 5 days.
I just checked my account at 12:30 today and I had the money in my account.
Nice and quick - hope it's the same for all of you.
Bye bye career development loan! :-D
  • Told me 5 days from reciept
  • Still waiting...
  • If memory serves, they took about 2 weeks with the overdraft charge repayments for me so I'm assuming it'll be about the same. I posted my acceptance off yesterday and I'm not really expecting anything before next Friday in all honesty.
Strange how different companies have different methods though, mbna just sent me a cheque - no need to sign anything.
  • oh well a week today i sent acceptance letter off, wonder how much longer it will be
