A question about : How much is a pint in your local?

We'd love to know what a pint costs in your neck of the woods and Friday night's as good a time as any to ask!

• I have paid over Ј5. In Iceland, just, and in Norway... I think it was Ј9...
• Never less than Ј1 but they did have lots for Ј1 when I was in uni - 20 years ago.
• Student in Edinburgh, right pub on the right night Ј1.50-Ј2, student union Ј2.30 and the nearest pub to me Ј4.20 =/

• A pint of what? Bitter is a lot cheaper than lager. Our local sells Kronenbourg for Ј2.80.
• No idea, i wouldnt spend it. I'd rather get a 4 pack from the supermarket and stay at home.

• Tell me about it Perran, I live in Blackburn and right next to the Thwaites tower brewery a bitter is Ј2.40 yet 15 miles away in Rossendale the price is Ј1.80
  Breweries set the prices and rents of their pubs, so are ridiculously overpriced, one guy my friends know sells casks of beer at lower the wholesale price and still makes a good profit!
• I don't have a local, they all closed down and got flats built in their place. Seems the prime land they were sitting on was more profitable to the breweries than the beer they were selling.
• Until last year, a pint of Ruddles ale in Wetherspoons in Derby was 99p on Mondays. I think its gone up to an eye watering Ј1.29 now.
• A pint of ice cold tennnents lager in a Wetherspoons in Ayr town centre is Ј1.98,i always go in here before i go to Ayr Horseracing.
• My local, for a pint of bitter is Ј2.80, I always assume every pint includes enough tax to pay for a can of Stella for a dosser, cheers.

  Milk is 58p from supermarket
  Bitter from local wetherspoons is Ј1.89
• Ј1.99 for lager or bitter all day everyday
• Ј4.60 at the pub I met a friend at this week...needless to say I won't be returning!
• Ј2.90 at my regular pub, wish he'd put it down to Ј2.50 (so I can get 4 out of Ј10) but I'm not complaining, very rarely I go out to drink these days anyway.
