Holiday Insurance for Ash Cloud required ?

A question about : Holiday Insurance for Ash Cloud required ?

I am going on a Thomas Cook Holiday to Tunisia, and my Annual Holiday Insurance is due for renewal.

using comparison sites, I have a quote for the insurance - but it doesn't include Ash Cloud disruption !

Thomas Cook is an ATOL member, and I have paid over Ј100 using a credit card, so do I need cover for Ash Cloud disruption via the insurance company, or will ATOL/Credit card be sufficient ?

• Ash cloud cover is a bit like chancel liability insurance. It will be needed once in a blue moon.
• Decided to renew with existing company, altough not covered for Ash Cloud Disruption.
  Was surprised to find out this years insurance was cheaper than last years, due to receiving 10% early renewal discount, and Healrth screening for my wife was free wheras as I was expecting to pay around Ј12 (last year was a little over Ј10, and the year prior a little over Ј7)
