A question about : help amazon prime nightmare

Can someone tell me what to do next?

I ordered a kindle hdx from Amazon. It was placed by myself as a prime member. I checked the tracker and my goods did not show a delivery date. I rang Amazon , they said they were sorry and offered an extra month free , fine. I checked my account to see that they had actually terminated my prime account. I e-mailed them back. An advisor said they were sorry and then they charged me Ј79.00 and re-activated the prime account. I e-mailed them back and told them I had been promised a concession meaning my membership ended in April. Amazon apologised and refunded the Ј79.00 and my original membership fee of Ј54.00 . My prime was still not re-instated. Amazon , following a three hour phone call have told me that if I want my prime membership back I must pay Ј79.00 to have it re-instated.

All I actually did was place an order , Amazon claim it is not policy to re-instate without a fresh charge of 79.00 , can they do this ?

I am just getting steamrollered by the help centre

• Ah , it is in the wrong thread? apologies , thank you for pointing out to a newbie where to go , very helpful. It was posted in the consumer rights forum and then I read the part where it says this is not the forum for questions. So where can I actually post my problem ?

• Your post is really confusing.
  Everything is in the wrong order. Could you start from the beginning e.g. when you started your Prime account originally and what was going on with April??
  Were you speaking to Amazon for three hours, or on hold? It may be that they are very confused too.
• ah , yes. The original prime account began in Jan 2014 , with concessions for poor service it runs until April. I spent three hours on the phone trying to find out why they cancelled my membership. Amazon admitted this was a mistake , however to have the membership re-activated I must pay another Ј79.00
