A question about : the hard work may have paid off for KLM Passengers :):)
not counting any chickens as yet but hoping this is great news

There is some good news for travellers though.
One airline - the giant Air France / KLM - had been refusing to comply with its obligations under EU law to reimburse passengers for reasonable costs incurred whilst stranded.
But the CAA has told the BBC that it has just secured agreement from the airline to pay out in full

- yep, finally they have taken the action needed, we have been saying it for 6 months but the more complaints the AUC receive the more chance they have of acting. Personally I would have liked them to take action sooner and for all airlines but lets hope its the first of many announcements.
The work that many have done to get people to complain and get this attention it deserves has to be applauded. Thanks Citiboy for the help in our campaign its much appreciated. - I have now received full payment for my claim against Cyprus Airways.
You can find my 'journey' (in modern parlance...) and which may possibly help you, under the heading 'Cyprus Airways'.
