A question about : Google sign in not possible on the mobile

for some reason google is not allowing me to sign into my account on my mobile, which means i cannot use google play and all the other apps that come with it. I can sign in on the computer though. please help.

Best answers:

  • Are you trying via mobile data or wifi?
Is the communications method actually working?
  • I tried both. Not sure what mean by communications method but everything else is working ok
  • What happens when you try to sign in? "Not allowing" tells us nothing.
  • You entered the wrong password or your account has changed. Please reenter your password
  • Settings > applications >Google Play >clear data and reboot .
Then you will need to sign in again .
  • Google wants to sync on my Nexus 7 so i put in my password and it tells me i am wrong yet its the same password i use on my Laptop. Not sure if you are having problems with Google sync as well as lots of other people are.
  • what browser do you use on the laptop
  • Firefox........
  • Google Chrome is Google, not Firefox!
  • ok 1st off you need to check you password is correct you say it works on the pc . So fire fox stores the passwords .You need tools , then options then the security tab .Chances are the rember saved paasword will be ticked click saved password then show passwords find the one for google then compare whats there with what you have remembered . Its not always the same . what you remember and what you typed . Its seems odd that it works on the pc and not the phone
  • gosh i finally cracked it. turns out i needed an app password just for my phone. a different password to the one i use on the laptop. thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. much appreciated!
  • Sounds like you are using two factor authentication in your Google account, or Google thinks your phone app is insecure. Had a similar issue with Thunderbird mail prog on laptop recently.
