Glass etching paste/cream and stencils

A question about : Glass etching paste/cream and stencils

Hello

I don't know if anyone has used the above, but I have some paste and want to design a glass for my dad. I don't want to use a pre made stencil as I want it to be personal, but don't know what to use to create my own. I know they have this clear stuff in American called Frisket tape which looks a bit like clear book covering so I wondered if book covering would work?

• Sorry Frisket won't work, the glue is just not strong enough!! Try clear Fablon, it definitely works as we did some etching using real acid and a fume cabinet at college!!
