A question about : Gamers

Hi all

We just wanted to brainstorm with you - let us know which you rate!

Thanks!

Best answers:

  • Not exactly bloggers, and not exclusive to gaming although that is a big chunk of their stuff, but:
    Youtube: thesw1tcher
Also known as Two Best Friends Play, or Super Best Friends Play (especially on Machinima's channel).
    They do:
Game playthroughs, month long special themes of videos, they did their third year of Halloween horror games this year, they have a podcast where they talk about gaming news, tech, movies, anime etc... all sorts of stuff. They also have a website as of recently but I can't remember the URL.
I've been following their stuff for a good 4 years now since a friend linked a Machinima video of them playing L.A. Noire (they do comedy stuff on Machinima mostly, and a lot of their "Super Best Friends Brawl" videos are packed with laughs), not a fan of their long playthroughs, but can easily listen to their podcasts for 10 hours straight and I love the comedy of their videos, even if I don't understand the humor on occasion.
  • Mostly only look up vloggers rather than bloggers when it comes to gaming.
Linus from Linus Tech Tips and NCIX Tech Tips for PC gaming related stuff. Also the Tek Syndicate. Both on Youtube.
Don't agree with everything he says but do enjoy a lot of Total Biscuit's videos.
There's a guy called Danger Dolan who does some interesting, mostly WoW related, videos on Youtube.
    Chiib, again, on Youtube.
The blogs over at Joystiq are usually quite interesting.
  • Another one who enjoys vloggers on YouTube rather than blogs
    TotalBiscuit
    Jesse Cox
    WowCrendor
    Dodger (DexterityBonus/PressHeartToContine)
Actually, most of the guys from Polaris.
  • I rate Ali - A, specifically as I enjoy Call of Duty and he focuses quite heavily on that. He's a good player, and also posses some good journalism skills and a great video editor.
He also does quite a bit of Minecraft, but that passes me by I am afraid.
I like that he has stayed away from the more immature prankish, screamers that seem to frequent gaming vloggers.
He has 5 millions subs and 1 billion views, so looks like I am not alone in my views

I also rate Inside Gaming (Machinima). Their humour is one of taste, but i fund them very entertain.
  • Thanks all, yep, vloggers are good to hear of - anyone you think's worth checking out
