A question about : The future is hopefully not Orange!

Can anyone suggest a way out of my Orange contract?

I got the original phone in October 06 (18 month contract). Then in July 07 I signed up to the 'free' broadband. I am confident that I was NOT advised that I would have to go back to month one of my 18 month contract. I only discovered this when I called into the local Orange shop as the camera on my phone seems to take pics in the mirror image (backwards!). The guy in the shop said I may be able to get an upgrade, so he looked up my details on the in-shop computer and said that my contract now runs out in January 09 and an upgrade would probably cost about Ј100! So, I'm stuck with a dodgy phone til then. I did ring Orange to complain about it, but I got a very unsympathetic ear.

Another thing - it appears after watching countless ads on tv that it's cheaper to have a PAYG rather than a contract phone.

Any advice? PLEASE???!

• I've moved your thread to the mobiles board where hopefully you'll get more replies
• Complain again to Orange and if they do not budge then inform them that you will be complaining to ofcom.
  That,s what i did when they tried this on with me and they backed down.
