A question about : Free dental treatment gone wrong

Was lucky enough last year to get some semi-cosmetic dental work done whilst a maternity exemption certificate was still valid. It consisted of the replacement of 6 porcelain veneers that I'd had done in 1989. I had no problems at all with the originals but have not been so lucky with the new ones. One of them shattered after 2 days, was replaced foc and it happened again twice. My dentist replaced it with a crown, which I paid for. Another veneer broke a couple of weeks ago and I am going through the process again. However, because I did not pay for this work, I feel I cannot complain but certainly feel that I have not received good service. My dentist takes impressions and sends them to an external lab for making up and it is taking nearly 2 weeks each time for replacement. In the meantime, I am left with a gap and have to take time off work and virtually 'cancel all engagements'. One was a front tooth!

I know there are dentists contributing to this site so can someone please advise me what my position is. I don't feel my dentist is particularly at fault but I am being seriously inconvenienced, not to mention what this situation is doing to my self confidence.
