A question about : Fraud

Unfortunately I am aware of someone who I think has placed a fraudulent address on an application for car credit which she has been accepted for. Is this illegal????

  Has she gave her real personal info as part of the application but different address? Or completely different information? The latter in particular would mot certainly be fraud by misrepresentation.
  Even in the first case, bit of a naive thing to do since they can be tracked down using a range of things such as their credit file, electoral register etc etc
