A question about : Florists in Staffordshire Area
Hi,
Getting married at The Ashes in Staffordshire (Stoke) in Summer 2016. Have the Venue, ceremony, band and photographer sorted with catering being sorted in January.
My fianc! has started looking at florists/flowers and frankly, I am stunned at some of the prices. I know she wants colourful flowers for 6 bouquets (her and 5 bridesmaids) which will double as table centre pieces, about 10 buttonholes and then maybe 6 lots of flower headbands for her and the bridesmaids (sorry I forget the proper name!). No pew ends and I don't think we even asked for any decs for the top table, could be wrong on that though!
She's been to 2 or 3 florists and is consistently being quoted Ј700+ and some florists have Ј1000+ minimum spends. Surely this cannot be right? I thought I was being generous with a Ј350 flower budget?!
In light of this, I am asking for any help with the following:
- Am I right in thinking this is particularly expensive, or is this 'just what flowers cost' and my expectations are wildly wrong?
- Can anyone recommend any good florists in the area who doesn't charge an arm or a leg?
- Any tips/ideas on how to reduce cost?

- Try florists in Leek area rather than Stoke
