A question about : finally up to continuing reclaiming bank charges. am i too late?

hope it ok to start this new thread here ... hope somebody in the know will move it if not!

after a successful day today ( won a DLA appeal) a huge weight has lifed from my mind (it has been dragging on for 14 months!) - I now feel ready to take on the next annoying thing on my list of things to do....

at the beginning of the year, I made a rather half-hearted claim to Lloyds TSB for unfair bank charges of around Ј1200.

after a few letters, I was offered the princely sum of Ј198.00. I decided to fill in the online 'court papers' but was flummoxed when I realised I couldnt afford the cost of these.

Obviously Lloyds have continued to hassle me for the Ј700 outstanding on my account since then ( all accrued from chargestitle=Mad ) and I really want to persue this...

Basically Im worried - have I missed the boat?

I received some great advice on here at the time, but I have 5 children (3 with disabilities) and it just seemed another headache.

Im on a high today though and determined to pick this up again. Have noticed a few MSErs signatures celebrating success with Lloyds.

Any advice would be thoroughly helpful....

thanks as always

  • thanks great advice. would never have thought of the suggestion to contact the court.
will write to Lloyds one more time, then proceed to contact the courts.
anyone found any particular weaknesses in the Lloyds TSB armour?!
  • Hiya if you visit site https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum they have all the templates and procedures you require. Just spend a few days reading through the FAQ's and forum posts so you know whats involved and how to go about it. There are thousands of people on the site who have been through the process or going through it so can offer you help, advice and support!
If you are on benefits you can get the court fees waived - more info on that is on the site. Remember you are entitled to the money (Its yours for unlawful bank charges) and it will help sort your situation so go for it.
