A question about : ESA rates
Can someone tell me the ESA rates for a 59 year old man whose wife is also not working because of illness. It is the contributions based ESA rates and not means tested.
Best answers:
- Ј72.40 or Ј101.15 or Ј108.15
- Just to expand the previous answer. The figures relate to Assessment Phase (theoretically the first 13 weeks), Work Related Activity Group and Support Group.
Contribution based benefit is payable to the claimant only, there is no addition for your wife. If you want to claim for her it would be an Income Related claim. - it wouldn't be a total income related claim for a couple.
it would be the single contributions based claim with an income related top up to the level of a couple claim - Sorry I think that was my total amount. Was 237 a fortnight including approx Ј10 a fortnight deductions
My award was basic allowance, support component and disability premium for being in the support group (Disability income guarantee) if I recall correctly?
