A question about : Equity in Finance Harassmernt

I have been in an IVA with Debt Free Direct for 2 years.

At the start of my IVA unbeknown to me they passed my details without my knowledge to this company.

I have been bombarded with calls from them every month for the past 2 years.

Each time they ring I shout at them NO MORE CALLS and hang up.

They are still ringing and ignore me.

I have contacted Debt Free Direct as well and asked them to contact this company to no avail, the calls still continue.

My IVA provider have been told time and time again there was no PPI on my debts as I didn't qualify due to being on unemployment benefit.

They are just money grabbbing and I'm sick of it.

Besides changing my telephone number, is there anything I can do to stop this form of harassment?

I am with the Telephone Preference Service people, but the calls still come.

I am really am fed up with the situation and dont want to change number due to this 1 company harassing me,title=Mad

  • I suggest you send the following letter. Send it first class and get proof of posting from the Post Office (which is free).
Keep the proof of posting and a copy of the letter but do not pay for recorded delivery. The proof of posting will, if necessary, be accepted as proof that, on the balance of probability, it was delivered. If you use recorded delivery and for some reason it is not recorded they have plausible deniability.

    Dear Sir
    FORMAL COMPLAINT OF HARASSMENT
I wish to make a formal complaint that, despite repeated requests that your company does not telephone my number, [number] you have repeatedly ignored those requests and continue to do so.
    For example [time] on [date]
    And [time] on [date]
[put in as many as you can remember.]
This is clearly in breach of the Conduct of Authorised Persons Rules of your regulator.
I demand that you immediately cease and desist from such calls and that you offer me appropriate redress for the distress and inconvenience that you have caused.
Should you fail to comply with my demands, or your offer of redress be unsatisfactory to me, I shall refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman.
I recognise that you have eight weeks to respond to my complaint but if you permit any further calls to me in the meantime I shall take that as a refusal to comply and refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman forthwith.
    Yours faithfully
