A question about : Email from USA.
I have just received an email from a very nice man who I believe to be a genuine Lawyer in Los Angeles - informing me that I must pay a fine of $150 now to stop myself being put in jail
This must be genuine - because the email has an official looking address on it - and the name of the sender looks genuine too.....
It fails to tell me what I have done wrong - but all the same - it must be true.
The problem being that I don't have any idea how I am supposed to make the payment - no attachment is available for me - for some reason, my browser has blocked the attachment
So - it looks as if I will get a knock on the door, probably within the next few hours and I will be carted half way round the world to a Californian Prison Cell - Oh well !!
Bye Y'all !!
Best answers:
- Have to see if we can catch the same flight, I never paid the fines I got by email from New York police dept. last year, for illegal parking, speeding etc . . .
They couldn't even get my name right . . . - Strange I have been to the USA and broken any number of laws and yet never hear a peep out of them
I must be a favoured son - Whichever city or authority it is from, get in touch with them or try to check online to find out if there really is an outstanding fine. Sounds strange a lawyer is the one following up on an outstanding fine.
- Hmm, I've never been to the US, probably wont let me in 'cos I know someone who had a friend who once did illegal substances. Their a bit keen on stuff like that, might get an email about that now . . . I think their watching me
