A question about : Easy cute boxes

I bought a nice advent tree with 24 hooks and was going to buy some little boxes to put something inside and tie up to hang on tree.

I found this YouTube video and was impressed. You might have seen it before but for those who haven't:

  • There are hundreds of free box designs around, you just google them!!
  • Hi white satin thank you for the link. It's nice to see videos I think no matter what. Personally I couldn't do this as I once seen a programme on the germs in loo rolls and that's why schools don't use them anymore, but what a fab idea and so quick
Glynisrose , that was a bit harsh with the exclamation marks. Lol The op was only trying to help. I agree there's lots of free templates out there
  • Would love to see a photo if you do this- Christmas crafting is such fun!
  • susan42, I like to see a video too.
I agree re the germs and they were not used in the schools I taught in either for that reason but I am more relaxed about it in my own home. I might just make them decorative rather than put anything edible in them though as nobdy will be touching them.
  • Thanks for this got some twine from the works so will have a go, will use kitchen roll tubes though for those concerned about hygiene.
  • As an ex childminder we were informed by someone that we couldn't use toilet rolls or egg boxes until someone found this https://www.hse.gov.uk/myth/august.htm
(I still didn't us the toilet trolls though). I always used kitchen towle or gift wrap inners
We also couldn't eat raw cake mix due to salmonella which was hard to explain to the children
  • For years and years we used toilet roll middles in school, and did any one come to harm??....... the nanny state is now upon us!!!
Cute little box, and so easy. Thanks
Trouble is I then had to watch the egg box roses, paper roses and butterflies, the art journal cover .....and before I knew it time had......gone!
