For anyone who has recently opened an A+L Premier/Premier Plus current account or is thinking of doing so.....

I've only just discovered that A+L offer Ј50 to anyone who recommends the Premier or the Premier Plus Current Account to a 'friend' But better yet the person opening the new account also gets Ј50. The payments are added to each persons account within 8 weeks of the new account being credited with it's first minimum monthly deposit.

It seems incredibly straight-forward and you can take advantage of it even if you've already gone ahead and opened your account (as long as it wasn't more than a few weeks ago I suppose!)

  opened a Premier Current Account and funded it with a minimum of Ј500 within 8 weeks of account opening then you are entitled to Ј50 easy money.

  basically I think it shoudl be the same because if the referral money isn't split the referrer will make thousands of pounds out of the deal as more and more people are referred through his thread.
  Ј25 is an amicable figure that has stood the test of time on the comdirect thread even with loads of offers from less reputable referrers that offer more.

  I'm about to go online to open one of these and am very interested in your offer? Please can you tell me if it's still available? Having had a look at the voucher, it seems you would need to complete it and then send it to me - would it be emailable? I think I am correct in thinking I can open the account online (to bag the Ј25) and then when I receive the voucher just post this on? How would you deal with paying the Ј25 after all has gone through and, in this connection, is there any limit on the number of people you can recommend? If there is then I would be happy to accept less than the Ј25 as this would seem fairer. But, if you are able to recommend a limitless number of people then maybe the Ј25 is fair - what d'you think?

  From 06/09/05 Alliance & Leicester no longer pays you Ј25 for opening an account. Figures quoted on this page have been amended to reflect this change. Currently they are still paying the referral bonus, but hurry as this may change too.
  Open one of the following Alliance & Leicester accounts:
• Premier Current Account and fund it with a minimum of Ј500, within 8 weeks of account opening.OR
• Premier Plus Current Account and fund it with a minimum of Ј1,000, within 8 weeks of account opening.

THEN...

• Ј50 will automatically be credited to your account by A&L within 8 weeks of the new account being funded, provided you complete a 'Recommend a Friend' voucher *.
• Ј25 will be BACS transfered to your account by me (or a cheque posted if you prefer) once condition b. has been satisfied, and Alliance & Leicester have credited my account with Ј50 for referring you.

However, your A&L opening pack includes a 'Switching Service Authority' form, you can complete and return this to A&L to have your employer pay your salary directly into your new account, and thereby avoid risking the Ј5 charge. • If anyone has new account I would guess we can double up on this. I opened a new acount two weeks back. If anyone else has a new account I could refer them and they could refer me, should work out to be Ј100 each. A fare trade off I should think. Anyone willing to be my business partner on this? PM me with account number and full name and I'll do likewise - should be a quick Ј100 each for very little effort.
