A question about : Does Victoria and Liverpool life insurance include Acidental Death?

Does Victoria and Liverpool life insurance include Accidental Death insurance?

Best answers:

  • Yes it should be LV= as the name of the company. Accidential death is very rare in a life policy however these were popular many years ago as a free add on.
    Best check your plan details
  • Accidental death is usually not included with most life plans, so i would say NO
  • A "normal" term assurance plan doesn't care how the policyholder dies, be it accident or illness.
Some may have a suicide clause, but I can't think of a single plan which would deny a death claim as a result of an accident.
What exactly is this Liverpool Victoria policy? When you get to my age, you remember "LV" as Luncheon Vouchers, not the name of a life office...
The policy doesn't have to have a specific death by accident clause for it to pay out, although certain high street motor insurance agents (whose name may begin with an "S") have been peddling "accidental death cover" as a separate contract for years.
This was poor value as it paid out ONLY in the event of accidental death and not if death resulted from any other cause.
