A question about : Ђ500 Note
Hi,
A friend of mine has managed to get lumbered with a Ђ500 note whilst abroad.
Is there anywhere over here that they will be able to get it changed?
They have already tried a local travel agent and Yorkshire Bank, who say they cant accept any denomination greater than a Ђ200 note.
Thanks,
Best answers:
- Most of the currency specialists such as Thomas Exchange will be able to exchange the Ђ500 for you - most of the companies who accept Ђ500s will be London based, (see Martin Lewis's travelmoneymax) but you can post the Ђ500 and they pay you by cheque or directly into your bank ac (you will probably still get more ЈЈs than you would have got from your bank). In general banks and the Post office will not exchange them and their currency rates are the worst on the highstreet.
