  • Thank you foxxy..... as I've said in previous posts , I'm newly " disabled" , and I've got to say , its only through disabled friends and peeps on here that I'm beginning to find out all these things I can get help with!!
I've bookmarked those links , and I will most definately be having a good nose later on!!
    sam.x
  • Thanks for the links, I'll have a look!
    I use this forum a lot https://www.asd-forum.org.uk/forum/index.php?
  • I was thinking, maybe we should have all the links in the first post so that we don't have to trawl the thread to get all the links? I'll copy and paste them into the first post if everyone is ok with that?
  • I think that's an excellent idea, foxxy.
  • Another one for ASD/Aspergers is https://www.wrongplanet.net/forums.html
  • Thanks foxy - I can think of a few, when I have found them I will let you know.
  • Foxy please can you add these to your list? They are for people with visual impairments:
    www.iga.org.uk (International Glaucoma Association)
www.birminghamfocus.org.uk (this is Birmingham Focus on Blindness - a great organistion who have a shop too and give loads of useful advice etc.).
  • One I use frequntly is www.arthritiscare.org.uk They have a few different forums, including working life, and one for young people with arthritis.
  • Great idea and great thread, thankyou!
  • Great thread.
Perhaps you could add this one to the list.
    www.ayme.org.uk
association of young people with M.E.
  • Great new forum and sticky
  • www.benefitsandwork.co.uk
great for info on all MS matters
  • Diabetes Forum, especially good for the newly diagnosed.
  • Hi
Can you please ad this one .
    https://www.marfan-association.org.uk/
  • Please can you also add this link? It is for a Uveitis support group:
    www.uveitis.net
  • Hi
I don't know if you want to include details about places where disabled people can go to get help setting up their own business? It's a little known fact that there are more disabled self-employed people than there are able-bodied self-employed.
Here are two sites that I have found to be particularly useful:
    www.disabled-entrepreneurs.net
www.bbact.org.uk (This is the Blind Business Association)
Forum and information for people with ostomies
  • Here's another for you
    https://www.lupus.org.uk/
Great idea to have them all in one place.
