A question about : Deceased Estates Notice

I understand that to protect myself as an executor, I should place a Deceased Estates Notice in the London Gazette but am unsure as to whether it is necessary to also place one in a local newspaper in the area if there is no land/property (i.e. a house) involved in the estate.

I've had a look at the section 27 item 1 excerpt from the Trustee Act (can't post a link to it though as I'm still a newbie) and have done a fair bit of googling but haven't been able to come up with a definitive answer.

I was an attorney for the family member who died and along with another family member have a good understanding of the assets and liabilities of the deceased so I am pretty certain there are no other creditors out there but would like to make sure I have acted appropriately as an executor and have protected myself from liabilities as I am not the beneficiary of the estate.

I'm hesitant to put the notice in a local paper as I don't particularly want my name and address details to be out there forever on the internet version of the notice.

The London Gazette offers a mail forwarding service which allows my address to remain private at least, so I was wondering if putting a notice just in the London Gazette would be sufficient to protect me since there is no land involved and therefore no appropriate 'circulating newspaper in the district in which the land is situated'.

Any thoughts?
