  Also, how do policies like these apply to contractors? I am working on that basis at the moment, so at the end of my current contract, if I cannot find another one, can I invoke the unemployment clause of the policy??
• Hi, we pay around Ј38 monthly to a credit card company for payment protection as our balance is high. We want to swop to a standalone provider to cut our costs but my partner, the main earner, works in Southern Ireland and this seems to exclude us from most policies. He works for a well known British engineering firm and is paid in Sterling into a UK account. Can anyone help?
• I have a Capital One No Hassle Platinum Card and did not knowingly ask for card protection. However, on their monthly bill they add "Special Purchase Interest - Ј6.30" every month - is this card protection under another name? I am new to credit cards ......
