A question about : Craft Fairs / Events Northern Ireland 2009

Hello fellow crafty folk -happy 2009! After the flurry of fairs in NI leading up to Christmas, it seems very quiet (time to draw breath and restock!) so I thought I would start a new thread for any events or fairs that are coming up in the Springtime if notbefore. SO - if you drive past a sign, read something in a paper, are organising a fair or spring event and would like stallholders to know about it - please let us know through this thread! We are desparate to get crafting again (!).

• i know need money. business hasnt really taken off as i would have hoped although credit crunch is surely to do with that. at this rate the part time job might have to happen after all!

  Im new here, I did quite a few fairs last year and was wondering if anyone knows of any starting soon this new year. I sell usborne books (fantastic childrens books) i know it is not craft but was hoping someone could give me some info!

  Im new here and was wondering (like evrybody else!) if there was any info on craft fairs in n.ireland..am particularly interested in co down area. I did quite a few last year and they proved very successful. i sell usborne Books..I know its not craft but hoping that I could maybe get some info...or is this simply for 100% crafters?

• Hi all, also new here and have been trying to find out about craft fairs in the Co Down area. I think there is one in Castle Ward around easter time, but do not have any details as yet.

• Still nothing Im afraid, that Im aware of...looked at the national trust website and there is nothing yet for Easter - must be a bit early. Anyone else seen anything? Or anyone on a pta that is planning a spring fair?!

• no it was a big craft fair and it was the lady who owns the craft shop who was getting all her stuff ready for it i think she said march
• There is usually a Knitting and Stitching show in the Kings Hall in the springtime. It might be April. They have had one of these shows for quite a few years now.
• Just checked, It is called the Stitch and Creative Crafts Show and its held in the Kings Hall from the 16th - 18th April 2009

• thanks for the above - anyone any idea of a ballpark figure for stall hire here? im guessing it will be major players and big bucks?

  Following on from its success the PTA of Glengormley Integrated Primary School will be running these regularly to continue to raise funds for our school, commencing on 7th February 2009 and continuing the first Saturday of each month throughout the school year with the exception of May which will be the 2nd Saturday due to the bank holiday. We are at 166 Church Road, Glengormley, BT36 6HJ (opposite the Fire Station) and gates will be open from 12:30 pm for sellers and from 1pm to 3pm for buyers. Costs: Ј5 car and Ј10 van. Please come along and support our school.
