  • Thanks to Op for this thread. Have recently been selling loads on ebay and spending forever in post office. Invested in a set of portable scales (ebayd) and found the link for royal mail postage charges. Have been selling shoes one pair at a time as the job lots were too costly to send so will definately being using some of the mentioned to make more sales
  • I have used interparcel a couple of times recently and they are fab! No more lugging big heavy boxes to the post office and waiting in line. I love their collection service. I would definitely use them again. They also have free insurance up to a certain amount included in their price and I love being able to input the size and measurements into the website and it straight away gives you a quote.
  • have used interparcel with dhl 48 a number of times (no 5% off for members on this service, but did get 5% via quidco) and they were great, half of them delivered in 24 hrs but now i've found this thread... I think DSE may find some custom coming their way
  • I have used parcels2go several times now. They have been really good. Easy website to use, cheap prices and they use DHL to pick up and deliver. I have always chosen the up to 5 day delivery option, but on each occasion my items have been delivered either the next day or the day after.
No connection, just a satisfied customer.
  • I've used Interparcel several times and although they're not the cheapest they've been 100% reliable. My parcels always arrive on the agreed date and in good shape!
  • Just read the new article from this weeks MSE email.
I've used Parcel2Go lots of times and have never had any problems with them yet. The only thing I don't like about having a parcel picked up from home is waiting for the courier to come. I had an eBay parcel picked up yesterday by DHL at 4.45pm which meant I was stuck in the house all day, other times they have come at 10am etc.
But other than that, it's much better and cheaper than taking a big parcel down to the small local post office.
  • The cheapest I have found for next morning delivery is Paysend. www.paysend.co.uk
They charge Ј9.99 for up to 25kgs anywhere in the mainland UK, and their prices for Europe are good too. They are a broker, so your ppackage could wind up going with DHL, FedEx, UPS or any of the others. I have used them a few times, both from home and the office, and they are reliable.
  • Has anyone heard of a cheap firm that will deliver fragile objects? I'm trying to find a way to send cupcakes through the post - but they're hard to wrap as they have delicate decoration and buttercream swirls that squidge easily. Do I just have to take my chances or is there someone who specialises in this kind of delivery?
    Thanks
  • what do people know about Direct Sales Europe ? I can't find any comments or info on them, they've not been a member long and their feedback is pretty sparce, so I don't want them to turn in to another Home Textiles. Would I be better off going with the tried and tested baloon & gift?
  • We've used parcel2go for sending anything over around 1.5kg from my wife's outdoors gear store. Touch wood, never had a problem yet. We do the 2 day delivery for around 7 quid (inc vat). You can also get next day delivery from them for around 9 quid.
Watch out though if you're posting to the Highlands & Islands of Scotland, Channel Islands or Northern Ireland as the costs often go up considerably and it's cheaper going with Royal Mail for these destinations.
  • The Cheapest on the web:

offers delivery from Ј6.19 plus there are discount codes available...
  • A friend who used to work for DHL advised me that frequently the staff at the Bradford depot would do wrestling moves on the parcels, by parcels I mean plasma tvs for examples. Just to forewarn you. And also would throw smaller parcels around the factory, often resulting in a local parcel getting misrouted, most of the time internationally.
