A question about : Clydesdale Bank
E-mailed Clydesdale Bank about mis sold PPI in September 2014.
Received a reply within a week with forms to fill in which I did. Received letters to say still looking into my PPI every 4 weeks since. Have phoned them several times and told they have a large backlog and they will tell me at the end of February when my final response will be. What do I do now (nearly 20 weeks since my complaint)?
Best answers:
- Edcalate to FOS and wait 18-24 months or give them more time. Unfortunately the PPI "industry" has swamped banks with thousands of complaints from genuine miss-sales through to fraudulent claims where people didn't even have PPI and the backlog is causing issues
- Will give them more time. I sent a letter to Bank of Scotland in November about mis sold PPI on a credit card from 1999-2006 and received a call in December from their PPI team. Claim was upheld and I got Ј1200 back.
