A question about : Club class flights to the Canaries

Other than BA, does anybody know of airlines flying to the Canaries that offer club/business class seats? I'm looking to spend a little more to avoid having my knees around my neck that's offered by the 'cram-em-in' airlines.

I know you may get emergency exit seats for a premium, but this will be a special holiday and I want to have a bit of luxury instead of scrimping for a change.

Best answers:

  • In respect of BA - save your money - their enhanced Club Europe offering is rubbish. Seat pitch is the same as economy, so if comfort is your priority, look elsewhere.
I don't think you are going to get 'a bit of luxury' on a relatively short haul flight within Europe. Maybe consider paying for a lounge before your flight rather than pay out for something you will be disappointed with.
  • As above.
"Business class" on European routes tends to be standard seating with the middle seat of three blocked off with a table. It's certainly not "luxury" by any stretch.
This is the typical BA Airbus running the Gatwick - Tenerife route: https://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Bri...A320-200_B.php
  • But the description 'here' says legroom of 30" - not seat pitch. Is that a lie?
Had a look a the traveller's pictures from the link above, and they look dreadful. BA have reduced pitch from 34" to 30". The price difference for a Canaries return flight is about Ј500 a seat. Thank you - I'm not going to pay for a non-delivery. My search continues for a comfortable carrier. Thomson is 28" so it won't be on one of theirs either.
  • Very little demand on short haul leisure routes for a proper "Business class" so I doubt you'll find anyone offering it.
Your best bet (if its room you want) is booking one of the extra leg room seats on one of the run of the usual low cost or charter airlines. I'd agree book a lounge at the airport and save your money.
