Cleaning glass plant trays?

A question about : Cleaning glass plant trays?

I have several glass saucers that have been used under house plants. They are mucky. I've tried washing with Fairy, but they still have deposits on them. Scrubbing the glass, as I would with terracotta pots, is a no-no.
Any ideas on what I could use to dissolve the deposits?

• I'd guess it's limescale from your hard water, so limescale remover or bathroom cleaner should help.
• Yes, could be lovely limescale. I have several saucers, so will do a comparative de-mucking.
