Choice of Immersion Switches

Tempted to go for the Intelligent Solar Immersion Heater Switch - Mark II @ Ј233 delivered for self install.

but noticed the Immersun, twice the price.

I have already changed immersion to a 1kw element, so think ISIHS Mark II is the one I will go for.

• Thanks Hobbo & Cardew for the replies. I hadn't read (or didn't recall reading at least) about Hobbo's set-up until now. Will be interesting to see how you get on. My gut feeling is that our savings will be of the order of Ј80-100/year.
  Here's our Immersun installed next to our consumer unit. The installer managed to route the cabling without any trunking which I'm very pleased with. As mentioned before, we're just waiting for a new immersion element as ours had packed up (under warranty fortunately). Now I can start hunting round for a good solution to box in both the CU (which has always been on my list of things to do) and Immersun, although I need to allow airflow in/out of the bottom/top.
