A question about : Carl Lewis Treadmill

I bought a Carl Lewis Treadmill, from their website, 5 months ago, it worked fine for 2 months but developed a fault.

I called them and they told me, they would replace it.

That was 6 weeks ago…So I gave them a call, they said, they don't have carrier as their contract has expired? And will let me know in a few months, if there is a change!!! title=Mad

What can I do about this? I paid £500 for something that worked for only 8 weeks! title=Frown

Many Thanks

Colin

  • Citizens Advice or Trading Standards should be able to help.
  • Did you pay for it on a credit card - you may be able to claim from them though not sure of the ins and outs, maybe others can advise.
  • Its called a chargeback-contact your creditcard company. In addition you might want to look at companies house website-do a webcheck to see if there seems to be any problems with the company.
  • Grounds that the goods are faulty,as for 5 months I dont know, but i would hurry up before 6 months are up or your legal position could change.
  • I got a replacement today, thanks for the replies
  • Did you have it pointing in the direction of, or away from, the nearest chemist? This could have affected its performance.
