A question about : Car boot sale in Liverpool?

Hi all, does anyone know of decent car boot sales in or around Liverpool? I don't mind going as far as places like St Helens, Ormskirk, maybe even Widnes, etc, but don't want to go over to Birkenhead/Wirral.

Many thanks title=Smile

  • What's wrong with Jerkinbed??
  • Absolutely nothing at all wrong with Jerkinbed ...
I'm just really nervous of driving through the tunnels! I can't even go the long way around via Runcorn bridge because that scares the bleep out of me too!
  • There used to be a great one in the depths of the catholic cathedral.Don't know if they still run it.
St Andrews's church on Queens Drive are having an attic sale soon in case you're interested.
  • Hi not sure on that
Im living at the mo in Scotland but originally from Preston and used Burscough a lot last year ....great outdoor venue , also Banks even though smaller was ok ....Both i think run by same peeps but not sure if they are on yet ....god do i miss me car boots !
  • Hi I know walton Hospital have one every sunday as FIL goes, thoughh dont know how goo it is as never been
  • Waltons O.K if you like your dvd's , but it finishes about midday and cost a tenner as well.
  • Have a read through your local newspaper they list most of the Boot Fairs in your area.
  • Burscough CB is on Burscough Airfield now. On A59 past vauxhall garage, It's at the back of the Beaufort Hotel (follow signs for Burscough Ind Est). Ј10 for cars 5am start!
  • If you're near South Liverpool, the Cricket Club on Aigburth Road is my favourite one. Not sure when the next one is though - I only rarely go these days.
  • Was gonna say Burscough, but others have already mentioned that!
Haven't done a car boot for a while, 1st time I made about Ј90 second time was pants though and made Ј12, ppl wanted stuff for pennies. I enjoy going for a nosey though and they have some great stalls for plants etc.
  • Have been to the Burscough one a couple of times, it was pretty good. Best thing was when some of the locals objected so dressed up in fluorescent jackets and started directing all the cars the wrong way!!! (OH's parents live in Burscough but they weren't involved in that, thank God!!). The Titanic bouncy castle they have there is a classic too!
There was a sunday morning one at Robbins Island roundabout (Maghull/Lydiate), think its still going. Bit closer Liverpool than Burscough.
  • Banks, Southport Car Boot is on every Saturday and Burscough (new location) is on every Sunday now.
