Buying desktop for minecraft help

A question about : Buying desktop for minecraft help

I was wondering if anyone could help me with suitable desktops that play minecraft but are around the Ј300 mark or am I being very hopeful

• Just depends, how tech savvy you are, but it is possible to get a raspberry PI computer for about Ј30 and that can play minecraft on it. You don't get monitor or keyboard or mouse for that price, but even if you have to buy brand new should come in below Ј300, BUT you will have to have some computer knowledge as it is based on Linux O/s and not windows.

  where you can find out more information and how to purchase (or you could try Maplins, think they stock them with keyboard and mouse included for Ј70 - Ј80 but no monitor)
• https://www.powerc.com/uk/ps/Advertis...1111/act/gpage is from a company local to me; it doesn't include a monitor those - these can often be quite a lot! Do you have one already / could use TV?
• Do not buy a Raspberry Pi - it runs a modified version of Minecraft which is very stripped out and is (probably) not what the intended recipient wants.
• Unless modding is your thing it would be cheaper to buy a console and play it that way.
• thanks, so from what I have read so far buying a desktop with a dedicated graphics card seems the best?
• Hop on Ebay. You can get a used desktop with dedicated graphics for under Ј300 there.
  I bought mine from there for Ј250 and it is capable of playing far more that minecraft. In fact I use it instead of a PS4 to play dragon age and BF4 etc, a quality desktop will play mainstream games at a higher graphical quality then even the 'next gen' consoles.
