A question about : BT

Hi, I am having serious issues with BT.

I moved into a new build house in November and placed an order for BT phone line on the day I moved in. 10/11/2014. I did this as I work from home several days a week and needed broadband asap.

After multiple delays and several days off worked booked for failed engineer appointments or no shows, my phone line was finally installed and activated on 19/01/2015. Over 2 months after initial order.

I then placed an order straight away for Broadband as the online offer and broadband speed checker accepted my landline number and postcode to allow me to do this. I was given a broadband activation date of 27/01/2015.

Since then I have had multiple texts and calls advising my order has been delayed due to an issue with my landline number not being recognised on BT systems, even though they call me on said number. Every BT contact who calls is from an offshore call centre and the service is absolutely appalling. I was told I would be sent a financial loss statement for the days I have booked off work for booked engineer appointments which never happened, and this financial loss statement hasn't materialised.

BT as an organisation are an utter disgrace and are bordering on fraudulent. From reading other forum posts it appears this is a common theme, how can they be getting away with this?????
