B&Q giftlist competition

A question about : B&Q giftlist competition

A few weeks ago someone posted a competition that involved registering for a giftlist with the B&Q website: I don't know who it was as the stupid MSE search function refuses to find it.

I have been having some discussions with the customer service people who run the giftlist service and they have told me that, to be entered in the competition, you don't just have to register for a giftlist, but have to be actively using it. Anyone who isn't using their account, or fails to respond to the emails they are currently sending out, will have their account closed and won't be entered for the competition.

I thought this was very useful information, and wanted to pass this on to anyone else who opened an account and hoped to enter the competition.

• That's the one - thanks, Biker*Chick. I've given up on it and asked them to close my account - as you say, not worth the hassle for Ј50!

  I get at least 5 emails a week from them, really annoying!
• That's why I contacted them - apparently they want a response to the emails, and will continue emailing you until you do. I have pointed out to them that it is not at all clear that a response is needed!
