A question about : A bit confused about which letter to send creditor post BR
I have recently received an up to date credit file from Experian. I am now in the process of doing a bit of cleaning up were I can. My understanding is that I can ask to remove anything that is six years past the default date is this true? in that case I have one creditor that I would like to have removed/updated, so which letter do I send in the first instance as its a bit confusing to me when I check the links.
Best answers:
- Here --> Credit Reference File Clean Up Post Bankruptcy
- Is it post number 2 (letter) that I send? and is it the banks details I put on the left hand side of the letter?
- Correct, yes.
- Thanks, just one other thing? If my BR was discharged on the 25/06/10 do I have to wait six years before it is removed 25/06/2016. Is that done automatically? Many Thanks.
- It's 6 years from the bankruptcy order not the discharge date. Yes it does come off automatically.
