A question about : BIG mistake! Take care ordering talktalk.
Following recommended link on MSE, I decided to switch from BT Infinity to talk. But talktalk didn't have fibre enabled in my area (BT does), but still let me proceed with the order.
They say they pointed this out - I cant remember seeing this.
If I had, I would NEVER have taken this backward step if I had seen this.
As I ordered online they are not allowing me to cancel without penalties (the MSE special deal was only via online order). Even though Broadband Service has not started.
Now having to raise with Ombudsman!
Best answers:
- Since TT's FTTC service is a resold BT Wholesale product, the services available should be the same. But surely when signing up for TT you knew the tariff was ADSL and not FTTC?
When did you sign up? If none of the services have commenced then you should be able to cancel without penalty. - You must have missed it - everytime I sign up, or even check out a potential new deal, there is a point where you enter your phone number/postcode and it tells you what services and/or expected speed are available?
