A question about : Best way to transfer money from Australia to UK

Hi guys, my partner and i are currently in Australia working but would like to send some money back to the UK. We are thinking that the upcoming independence vote might be favourable to our position with perhaps a weakening pound. I have had a look about but was wondering if anyone could advise the best route for transferring money for the best value.

• My brother has been in Oz for a year travelling, we used Transferwise to move money out when he went. Now he is back home in the UK he wants to move the funds from his Oz account to UK account. Probably about $500, does anyone know if Transferwise is still a deal to transfer it to GBP?
