A question about : Is Bathstore actually cheaper instore??
Hi all,
So I ordered a bathroom from bathstore and paid a deposit in store which they said is fully refundable if I change my mind.
I checked on their website and saw that delivery was free (store charged Ј40) and I could get cashback (TCB/quidco) approx Ј47.
I called up the store and asked if they can give me a discount and free delivery as I would get online. The manageress said she checked the prices online and told me that my order would cost more as she gave me a discount already.
So, obviously I investigated myself and discovered that she was lying and there was no special discount at all and I would get a better deal online. I called them up today and explained that she must have made a mistake, and so she asked me to send over my online basket so that she could check that I haven't missed anything.
So I've done that, but I'm not holding my breath as she hasn't responded to any of my calls yet, the only time I spoke to her is when she picked up the phone herself. Also I don't think she was completely honest about an extra 10% off promotion which she told me was ending yesterday, whilst it is online until 1st of March.
Does anyone know if there's any possibility that she could be telling the truth and I did miss out items on my basket and she did in fact give me an additional discount?

I had this with two drawers I went to see.
The guy had loaded them into his van from the shop and I went to see them at his house. He said if I didn't want them, there was someone who was buying them at 9am the next day.
So let me get this straight, you're selling me goods that you've told someone else they can be bought when the shop opens tomorrow?
Yeah... okay... I smell a forceful sale right there.
In your case, I would just cancel the order and re-order online.
If you're getting bigger discounts and cashback, you're better off.
