A question about : bankruptcy

how much does it cost to go bankrupt

Best answers:

  • Ј450 per person, unless you're on benefits in which case it'll be Ј360 per person.
  • It is £475 to petition for bankruptcy. If you are on benefits, you can be let off the court fees which are £150 - which means you pay £325.
  • It's gone up then since I did it!
  • I went BR end of August 06 and that's how much it was
  • I went bankrupt on the 3rd of this month.
It cost £325 - only because I didn't have to pay the fee of £150 as I am on benefits so if you aren't in receipt of benefits, it will cost you £475 in total.
  • Hi

I just said I was getting them(Have claimed but so far dss have taken 11 weeks and still no money or confimation)
  • Its for my brother as he is on benifits.
he want to rush into it but I have advised that he looks ar this web site first before he does any thing
  • Can he open a basic bank account after he is bankrupt or is it better that he does it before
  • I think he can do it either time. But best to do it before.
  • Does working tax credit count as a "benefit" in this sense?
