A question about : Bank charges

Hi All, I am hoping for some help here. My partner has debts with HBOS and RBS which are over 3-4 years old, my partner got into financial difficulty after unfortunately being made redundant twice (once by RBS) and falling ill which saw her on sick pay for a small period of time but unfortunately this led to her overdraft and Credit card charges to start snowballing out of control. We were able to set up a standing order for all three accounts and have continued to pay towards them for the past 2 years now but it seems that due to the charges and interest the standing orders have had little effect and we are no further forward. The initial amounts my partner owed where HBOS(O/D)Ј800 HBOS(CC)Ј500 AND RBS(O/D)Ј400 These are currently sitting at the moment at Ј1946,1131.80 and 1083.02-as I said we have had standing orders set up for all three HBOS Ј60.00 PM and RBS Ј50.00 PM, can anyone advise what steps I can take to have the debts reduced back to the original amounts as we are now in a position to pay the initial sums but not the once with the charges on them.
